[ARCHIVED] Maragos appoints Arthur Lukin, CPA as New Chairman of Comptroller’s Audit Advisory Committee

Mineola, NY- Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos announced the appointment of Arthur Lukin as the new Chairman of the Audit Advisory Committee. Mr. Lukin is a Certified Public Accountant, and a partner at Chwast CPA Group, P.C. in Melville. Mr. Lukin has previously served on the Audit Advisory Committee since May of 2011. The Nassau County Comptroller’s Audit Advisory Committee is an all-volunteer group, comprised of prominent private industry professionals requested to review and opine on the County’s audited financial results and the adequacy of its internal controls. The Audit Advisory Committee has been an important resource for the County since its inception in 2003.

"Mr. Lukin will continue to provide the County with outstanding public service as he now leads this distinguished volunteer group of private industry professionals who will provide financial oversight and enhance the public credibility of the County’s audited financial results,” Comptroller Maragos said. “Arthur’s years of financial experience and his insight and advice will be invaluable.” 

Arthur has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1976, previously a Partner at Frumkin & Lukin CPAs in Rockville Centre before recently merging with the Chwast  CPA Group in Melville. Through the years, Arthur has serviced clients in the fields of real estate developers, construction contractors, wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, medical, insurance brokers, legal and abstract firms. Arthur is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
