Nassau County Legislator Howard J. Kopel urges all parents, grandparents and caregivers to have their child car seats inspected on Tuesday, June 21st at Bay Park in East Rockaway. A Nassau County Traffic Safety Coordinator will inspect car seats and provide free hands-on advice from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Parents are encouraged to call (516) 571-6204 to make an appointment.
Legislator Kopel stated, “We must do all we can to protect our children when on the road. The proper installation of a child’s car seat is critical to ensuring safety in a vehicle. Take this opportunity to let a professional make sure your child seat is safely installed in your vehicle.”
Child car seats are required for children under the age of seven.
