[ARCHIVED] Maragos: Carla Hall D’Ambra Appointed Communications & Public Relations Director

Mineola, NY – Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos announced the appointment of Carla Hall D’Ambra as Communications & Public Relations Director. Carla has previously held various positions in advertising, public relations and radio. As Managing Partner/Executive Producer at DiMassimo Brand Advertising, a NYC based communications agency, Carla directed the agency’s broadcast production, producing award-winning television and radio campaigns for such clients as Comcast, Hotwire.com, Instinet, and The Plaza Hotel. Carla also worked as a weekend on-air reporter for WQHT-FM HOT97 in Manhattan for eight years, and more recently hosted the community service radio show, “My Hometown” on 90.3 WHPC-FM in Garden City. She has also written for the North Shore luxury lifestyle publication, 25A Magazine.

“Ms. Carla Hall D’Ambra is a proven Communications and Public Relations professional,” said Comptroller George Maragos. “Carla’s focus will be on increasing government transparency by expanding and enhancing two-way communications with residents through all the media channels including the Press and Social Media.”

Carla sits on the Executive Committee as Vice President Public Relations and Board Member of Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club. Ms. D’Ambra holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from SUNY Empire State College and an Associate in Liberal Arts degree from University of Kentucky.
