County Executive Curran Participates In Pick-A-Reading-Partner

Old Bethpage, NY – Today Nassau County Executive Laura Curran participated in the Pick A Reading Partner Program (PARP) at Old Bethpage Elementary School. County Executive Curran read “What Pet Should I Get” to Mr. Sidito’s 4th grade class.

The event was part of the school’s week-long celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday (March 2nd) where community leaders are invited to read their favorite Dr. Seuss book and discuss how reading has impacted their career.

“PARP is a great event where we celebrate the importance of reading and honor community helpers,” said Old Bethpage Elementary Asst. Principal Michael J. Yannucci, Ed.D. “County Executive Curran’s enthusiastic participation was a great experience for all involved.”
