(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) recently presented her intern Richard D’Orazi a Nassau County Legislature Citation in recognition of his service to her office during this summer season.
During his time in Legislator Birnbaum’s district office, Mr. D’Orazi, who will begin his sophomore year at St. John’s University in the fall, prepared certificates and citations, drafted constituent communications, assisted with Legislator Birnbaum’s events and called upon his student journalism experience to track media coverage and assist in creating Legislator Birnbaum’s upcoming newsletter.
“We were very fortunate to have someone with Richard’s skills and interests working in our district office this summer,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “While his presence will be missed, we wish him all the best as he continues his studies and pursues his goals in the years to come.”
