On August 5th, Legislator Bill Gaylor and the Nassau County Legislature approved a Community Revitalization Project (CRP) for the Village of Malverne Police Department.
The project will authorize the County Executive to enter an inter-municipal agreement with the Village of Malverne and their Police Department to purchase radar equipment. The County will provide $30,000 in Capital Funds to the Village for the purchasing the equipment.
After the vote, Legislator Gaylor provided the following: “The safety of our residents in Nassau County is one of our top priorities. The people of Malverne will greatly benefit from the use of this new radar, and the better enforcement of traffic laws will make the roads safer. Anything the Legislature can provide to aid the great police in Nassau County, we will gladly do.”
