Statement from Nassau County Legislator Joshua A. Lafazan in Support of March Against Anti-Semitism

(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Thousands of Long Islanders, including religious leaders, elected officials and citizens, joined forces for the Long Island March Against Anti-Semitism on Sunday, Jan. 12. The march was one of the bi-county Task Force Against Anti-Semitism and Symbols of Hate’s inaugural initiatives.

“My grandfather Boris is a refugee from the Holocaust. My family knows all too well the consequences that anti-Semitism and hatred can have when these forces of evil go unchecked,” Legislator Joshua A. Lafazan (Woodbury) said. “It is up to all of us to be relentless and fearless in our efforts to ensure that hatred never has a safe harbor in Nassau County or anywhere else. Through collective action, we speak in a loud and unified voice to protect all who have been affected by virulent actions of intolerance.”
