(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislators Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) and Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) are supporting the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless through their ongoing winter wear donation drive. Above, Legislators Drucker and Lafazan are pictured with some of the more than 70 coats, hats, gloves and scarves that were donated by attendees of their joint tax grievance workshop at Syosset Public Library on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

“This tremendous display of generosity has gone a long way toward assisting the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless in providing immediate assistance to those in need as part of its multi-faceted Continuum of Care,” Legislator Drucker said. “Legislator Lafazan and I are deeply grateful to everyone for their contributions and encourage you to continue supporting this outstanding organization in the coming months and years in their mission to end homelessness on Long Island.”

“Legislator Drucker and I have the distinct privilege of representing tremendously generous and deeply compassionate communities, and the results of this winter wear drive illustrate that beautifully,” Legislator Lafazan said. “We are both proud to support the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless and its essential mission to ensure no Long Island is without safe and secure shelter at any time.”
