WHAT: Nassau County Legislators Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) and Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) are partnering with Jericho Cares to host a toiletry drive benefiting local families in need. Organizers are seeking donations of products like shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and mouthwash, disposable razors, bandages, and other similar personal care products.

Interested residents can lend their support either by donating directly to Jericho Cares online or by dropping off contributions in person at Jericho Cares, 26 Clemson Ave., Woodbury, N.Y. 11797 or the Nassau County Legislature, 1550 Franklin Ave., Mineola, N.Y. 11501.

“As our community continues to navigate the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations like Jericho Cares have stepped up time and again to deliver much-needed relief and assistance,” Legislator Drucker said. “I’m proud to join Legislator Lafazan in support of this admirable effort to address the heightened level of need that continues to impact Nassau County families.”

“In the face of the tremendous obstacles that emerged during the last year, the generosity of Nassau County residents has never faltered,” Legislator Lafazan said. “I am excited to stand with Legislator Drucker in support of Jericho Cares’ toiletry drive - yet another shining example of the giving spirit we all play a role in fostering.”
