
LEGISLATOR McKEVITT IS HOSTING A “SHED THE MEDS” DRUG DISPOSAL EVENT IN LEVITTOWN

Nassau County Legislator Tom McKevitt is joining with the Nassau County Police Department, the Levittown Community Action Coalition and the Hispanic Alliance for Prevention to sponsor a “Shed the Meds” Drug Take-Back Day event at Wisdom Lane Middle School in Levittown. This event will allow residents to safely dispose of unused, unwanted and expired medications. Simply drive up, drop off, and drive away.
Keep medications in original containers and block out your name
for anonymity. Do not cross out medication information on label.
ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE: Prescription medications, prescription patches, over the counter medications, vitamins, sample medications and medications for pets. Syringes and sharps will be collected at this location. Illegal narcotics may also be dropped off anonymously, no questions asked.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED: NO LIQUID MEDICATIONS!
