[ARCHIVED] Caregiver support group at SHELTER ROCK PUBLIC LIBRARY - February 2016

Mineola, NY - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that the County’s Offices for the Aging and Mental Health, Chemical Dependency & Developmental Disabilities Services, in cooperation with the Shelter Rock Public Library, are offering a support group specifically targeted to respond to the needs of elder caregivers.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Shelter Rock Public Library. Meetings are held every month and are open to residents of Nassau County. This support group will provide an opportunity for participants to share experiences and help one another. The group is led by Marguerite Dilimetin, LCSW, CASAC, Support Group Facilitator.

Our guest speaker, Mary Ann Ragona, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, will speak on issues involving Alzheimer’s Disease. She will be accompanied by someone who will speak on the financial implications of Alzheimer’s.
