Nassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker and Laura Schaefer are asking residents to become involved and join C.E.R.T., the Community Emergency Response Team.
C.E.R.T. is a program that educates and trains Nassau County residents in basic disaster response and recovery skills. When an emergency or disaster happens, C.E.R.T. members can give critical support to first-line responders and provide immediate assistance to their community.
C.E.R.T. Training includes: Fire Safety Procedures, Disaster Medical Operations, Light Search and Rescue Techniques, Team Organization Skills and Disaster Psychology.
Attend 7 FREE Basic Training classes to become a C.E.R.T. Team Member. The training will give you peace of mind, and help you to help your family and community if an emergency arises.
