Nassau County Legislator Rose Marie Walker urges all parents, grandparents and caregivers to have their child car seats inspected for safety on Friday, June 9th at Bethpage Community Park in Bethpage.
A Nassau County Traffic Safety Coordinator will inspect child car seats and provide free hands-on advice from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Parents are encouraged to call (516) 571-6217 to make an appointment.
Legislator Walker stated, “We must do all we can to protect our children when on the road. The proper installation of a child’s car seat is critical to ensuring safety in a vehicle. Take this opportunity to let a professional make sure your child seat is safely installed in your vehicle.”
Child car seats are required for children under the age of eight.
