[ACTIVE] COUNTY CLERK ATTENDS OFFICE OF THE AGING'S 40TH ANNUAL LUNCHEON

(Mineola, NY) Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell recently attended the 40th Annual Luncheon in observance of Older Americans Month hosted by County Executive Ed Mangano and the Office for the Aging. This agency develops and coordinates a county-wide plan to provide services that assist older persons to remain independent and living in their own homes for as long as possible. The National Association of Counties has cited the Office as an “outstanding example of how a county works with and for its elderly citizens.”

Clerk O’Connell was honored to present this years’ Senior Citizen of the Year Honorees, Claire Millman and Louis Palermo with citations in recognition of their strong commitment to community service especially through their involvement in numerous Church and Civic organizations throughout Nassau County.
