WHAT: With a renewed focus on mental health and self-care topping many New Year’s resolution lists, Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) is partnering with Dr. Jaclyn Shlisky of the Insight Psychology Group to present a New Year’s Mental Health and Wellness workshop on Monday, Jan. 20.
“Asking for help is a brave, courageous step forward, and I am hopeful that events like these will make it easier to access vital mental health care resources,” Legislator Lafazan said. “In this New Year, I will continue to support and spearhead efforts that empower our residents to thrive.”
Dr. Shlisky is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist based in Syosset. Her primary specializations are in child development, cognitive behavioral therapy, family counseling, educational interventions, psychological/educational assessment, effective parenting strategies, consultation and educational advocacy.
