                              Purpose: to examine the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls related to the operation of the County’s take-                                      home vehicles, and to verify compliance with the County’s take-home vehicle policies and procedures.   
08/15/2015            Review of the Administration and Collection of the County Entertainment Tax Surcharge (PDF)
                              Purpose: to examine the Treasurer’s administration and their collection of the Entertainment Surcharge Tax.
07/07/2015            Final Limited Review of the Sunshine Residence (Eager to Serve Inc) (PDF)
                              Purpose: to verify that employees of the Sunshine Residence were paid the applicable Living Wage rate and that                                      eligible employees received Compensated Time Off in compliance with the Living Wage Law.
07/01/2015            Final_Review of Entertainment Surcharge Tax Nikon at Jones Beach Theater (PDF)
                              Purpose: to determine if Beach Concerts Inc. (Nikon at Jones Beach Theater) has been in compliance with the                                          Entertainment Surcharge Tax regulation, which imposes a surcharge tax of $1.50 per ticket for entertainment events                                  held in Nassau County at venues having a permanent seating capacity of at least 2,500 seats.

                              Purpose: to determine that Federal and New York State asset forfeiture funds were expended in accordance with                                      government guidelines, and assets purchased with these funds were properly inventoried, maintained and disposed                                  of according to fund regulations.

                              Purpose: to determine if Westbury Music Fair LLC. (NYCB Theatre in Westbury) has been in compliance with the                                      Entertainment Surcharge Tax regulation, which imposes a surcharge tax of $1.50 per ticket for entertainment events                                  held in Nassau County at venues having a permanent seating capacity of at least 2,500 seats.
06/18/2015            Final_Limited Review of DOH's Inspection of FSE's (PDF)
                              Purpose: to determine that the Nassau County Department of Health is in compliance with New York State Food                                        Sanitary Code and the Nassau County Public Health Ordinance as it relates to the inspection of FSEs located in                                        Nassau County.

                              Purpose: to determine if microMedia Imaging Systems Inc. is in compliance with the Nassau County Living Wage                                      Law, during the period of 2012 through 2014.

                              Purpose: to summarize the operations of Transdev, formerly Veolia Transportation Services, and to determine their                                    compliance with the five-year Long Island Bus System contract.

                              Purpose: to determine whether Peace Valley Haven Inc. was in compliance with the Living Wage Law ("Law") and the                                related rules; to determine if employees that were owed back pay for 2010 and 2011 had been fully reimbursed; to                                    verify that the compensated time off policies, which were previously not in accordance with the Law, had been                                            revised.
