Davis, Youngsters from RVC MLK Center Visit Joysetta & Julius Pearse African American Museum

(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) accompanied youngsters from the Rockville Centre Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Centre on a tour of the Joysetta and Julius Pearse African American Museum of Nassau County on Saturday, Feb. 24.

Legislator Davis currently serves as Vice President of the RVC Friends of MLK, a not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to supporting and growing youth, adult, senior, and community programming for Rockville Centre’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center.

“Black History Month is an ideal time for individuals of all ages to expand their knowledge of African American history, culture, arts and traditions, and the Joysetta and Julius Pearse African American Museum of Nassau County is a wonderful place to begin that exploration,” Legislator Davis said. “We are all thankful to the fantastic staff at the Museum for making this such a wonderful experience for our young guests.”
