Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves attended Boy Scout Troop 362’s Eagle Court of Honor for Eagle Scout David McGee and Eagle Scout Michael Leone at the East Meadow Fire Department Headquarters in East Meadow.
For his project David, a resident of East Meadow, built gardens and made them wheelchair accessible for the residents of the AHRC Home in Woodbury. David also installed benches, created a sitting area and planted a flower garden for the residents of the home to enjoy.
For his project Michael, a resident of East Meadow, cleaned and restored areas of Wantagh Park. Michael also installed new benches near the horseshoe courts.
“These young men are working to make our community a brighter place for all,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “I look forward to seeing their continued success and achievements.”
