HONORS BATON ROUGE POLICE OFFICERS

Nassau County Legislators Steve Rhoads and Dennis Dunne, Sr. joined together with the Nassau County Police Department’s Chief of Department, Steven E. Skrynecki, and Police PBA President James Carver to pay tribute to the three police officers killed in Baton Rouge on Sunday, July 17. During the ceremony, police officers laid a wreath at the Nassau County Police Memorial in front of NCPD Headquarters on Franklin Avenue in Mineola in honor of the fallen.

“Every day, the men and women of our police department, and every police department nationwide, put their lives at risk to defend our rights and ensure our safety. Our hearts are with the friends and families of the slain officers in Baton Rouge, and our appreciation for the bravery of our local police officers remains stronger than ever,” stated Legislator Rhoads.
