Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves attended Boy Scout Troop 157’s Eagle Court of Honor for Eagle Scout William Vincent Teneriello at Calvary Lutheran Church in East Meadow.
For his project, William led a team of scouts, friends and family in the creation of the 14 Stations of the Cross and 2 benches for the prayer garden behind the nun’s convent at St Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church in East Meadow. Also, as part of his project he trimmed and removed dead plants and weeds, added mulch for a new garden and installed the 14 Station Plaques, creating a peaceful prayer garden.
“I’m extremely proud to see one brother’s achievement influence and impact the other,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “This rank shows the leadership, effort & dedication that William has put into his project.”
