Presiding Officer Norma Gonsalves was honored to be part of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association (COBA) Widows and Children’s Fund Memorial Ceremony remembering and honoring our fallen Correction Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as the deceased Officers who have died while in active service with the Sheriff’s Department.
The Ceremony was held at the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department Memorial Monument on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in honor of “National Correction Officers Week.
