Mineola -- This week we mourn the loss of a true American hero. From his time as a POW in Vietnam to his leadership in the Senate, Sen. John McCain embodied the American spirit. He believed in his country and served its people selflessly. Nassau County mourns this loss and we are keeping his family in our prayers.
Accordingly, I am ordering the County flags to fly at half-staff for 10 days, beginning Monday, August 27th.
