[ARCHIVED] Legislator Lafazan Announces Holiday Drives to Collect Coats, Winter Wear and Toys for Children

(WOODBURY, N.Y.) - On “Giving Tuesday” (Tuesday, Dec. 1) Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) will join forces with local youth service organizations and the Woodbury Jewish Center to host coat, winter wear, and toy drives for deserving children and families during the holiday season.

 From 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on weekdays from Dec. 1 through Tuesday, Dec. 15, donors can make contributions at the Woodbury Jewish Center, 200 South Woods Rd., Woodbury, N.Y. 11797. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island is spearheading the collection of new and gently used coats and winter wear, while the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club is presenting the drive for new, unwrapped toys.

 “Residents of the 18th Legislative District have stepped up time and again to address the tremendous hardship that has been created by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Legislator Lafazan said. “With the holiday season on the horizon, I’m proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club and the Woodbury Jewish Center to bring holiday cheer to so many deserving children and families in our region.”
