[ARCHIVED] Statement from Nassau County Comptroller on the Presidential Inauguration

MINEOLA - Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman released the following statement:

"In a moment when our nation faces so many unprecedented challenges, today is a day in which Americans can come together in unity and renew our democracy. While combating the COVID-19 pandemic and rebuilding our national economy are absolutely critical as the Biden administration takes office, I am hopeful that some of the administration's first priorities will include supporting critical funding for local governments and communities absorbing COVID's frontline impacts as well as the repeal of the SALT cap, ending double taxation that has caused tremendous pain for families in our region. We are all in this together. We are all invested in the incoming administration's success because it is America's success. Let's tackle the challenges ahead together."
