(GREAT NECK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) celebrated the members of the Great Neck Association of Girl Scouts during their Wednesday, May 26 bridging ceremony. Held in the Village of Russell Gardens Park, more than 50 local Girl Scouts were honored for ascending to the next level of Girl Scouting, graduating from Scouting, and earning special awards.
“Through their dedication to community service, learning and the principles of Scouting, these young ladies are achieving their goals and growing as leaders,” Legislator Birnbaum said. ‘I thank the Great Neck Association of Girl Scouts for providing these important opportunities for young people in our community to grow as leaders and chart a path to their future accomplishments.”
