Garden City, NY—On December 14th, Legislator Mazi Melesa Pilip watched the holiday performance of students from the Silverstein Hebrew Academy as they performed a Chanukah concert at the Macy’s store in the Roosevelt Field Mall. Legislator Pilip was also joined by Legislator Denise Ford as they both enjoyed the beautiful holiday choral performance.
The Silverstein Hebrew Academy is a Jewish Day School in Great Neck that has a mission to educate students with an open mind and an open heart. The choir is led by Mr. Shabbos who is a music teacher at the academy. The students in the chorus at SHA were dedicated to helping to raise holiday spirits and spread cheer to those who were at the mall during the seventh nigh of Chanukah.
Legislator Pilip made the following statement about her experience attending the event on her social media platforms, “Silverstein Hebrew Academy delighted Roosevelt Field Mall as they performed a beautiful Chanukah concert at the entrance of Macys!
