Nassau County has been addressing the opioid crisis on multiple fronts. One of them is educating its residents on the use of Naloxone, also known by the trade name NARCAN. Legislator Michael Giangregorio, in partnership with County Executive Bruce Blakeman and the Nassau County Department of Human Services, is hosting this community event to help people identify the signs of an opiate overdose and learn how to administer the life-saving antidote NARCAN. All registered attendees will receive a free NARCAN kit.
