Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves attended the first ever County and State fire camp for Junior Firefighters at the Nassau County Fire Service Academy in Old Bethpage. This camp was attended by 30 Junior Firefighters from various Fire Departments across Nassau County.
“These brave young men and women are learning the skills to become true heroes in their community,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “I know they will use this experience to help teach and lead their peers.”
