Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves attended Boy Scout Troop 123’s Eagle Court of Honor for Eagle Scout Robert Kenneth Boschert at the Merrick Golf Course Club House in Merrick. For his project Robert, a resident of Merrick, undertook the task of beautifying an area bordering the Bellmore Presbyterian Church parking lot with trees, bushes and mulch. Robert also provided a new concrete path for wheelchair access.
“Robert exemplifies what it means to be a community leader,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “Not only did he beautify the area but he also provided a great service to those who need to use a wheelchair path.”
