long island rail road community meeting

Legislator Steve Rhoads invites all commuters and residents to attend this informative meeting to learn about the Long Island Rail Road’s upcoming projects at the Wantagh Station and Penn Station. The Wantagh Station Project Manager and representatives from the LIRR will be at the meeting to answer questions and concerns. Penn Station work will most likely disrupt train service for months. The repair project is expected to last two months starting in July. Amtrak is also doing repair work and will take several tracks out of service for weeks at a time at Penn Station this summer.
