[ARCHIVED] County Executive Curran Keynotes Mentor New York Conference

Brookville, NY – Today Nassau County Executive Laura Curran keynoted the Mentor New York 14th annual Mentoring Matters Conference held at Long Island University, 720 Northern Boulevard, Brookville, NY.

The daylong event explored how mentors can add to the strengths that youth have to be able to resist joining gangs and focused on how to create safe spaces for the healthy social and emotional development for youth on Long Island.

“We’ve enjoyed County Executive Curran’s support since her tenure as Baldwin School District President,” said Jean Cohen, Mentor New York Executive Director. “Her participation today reaffirms her continued support for Nassau youth and helped make today’s event a sell-out.”
