County Executive Curran Joins Recruit NY Kick-Off

Uniondale, NY – Nassau County Executive Laura Curran (3rd from the left) joined the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York to announce RecruitNY – the signature program FASNY created to boost the number of volunteer firefighters across the state, so that fire departments can continue to provide the optimum level of protection to their residents.

Fire Departments across the state have been in full outreach mode leading up to this weekend’s 8th annual RecruitNY Open House (April 28-29).  Hundreds of fire departments to open their bay doors and give the public a look at what it’s like to be a volunteer firefighter - including a number of departments here on Long Island.  For a list of local fire departments hosting open houses visit: https://fasny.com
