[ARCHIVED] Nassau County Executive Laura Curran Observes Older Americans Month

Office for the Aging Luncheon

Uniondale, NY – Nassau County Executive Laura Curran recently spoke at the 44th Annual Office for the Aging May Luncheon in observance of Older Americans Month.  The conference featured seminars on volunteerism, financial literacy, and information on the pitfalls of reverse mortgages. 

Curran also presented awards for Senior Citizen of the year to Daniel LeDonne, Senior Man of the Year, and Mary Joesten, Senior Woman of the Year.

As the Area Agency on Aging it is the mission of the Nassau County Office for the Aging to provide information, guidance and coordination of services necessary to keep older citizens in their homes and vitally connected to the communities in which they live. Our goal is to pro-mote choice, independence and dignity for all seniors.
