MINEOLA, N.Y. – A tip line for the Nassau County District Attorney’s office was unveiled today making it easier for members of the public to make a complaint, report a crime, or give information about human trafficking, corruption, child abuse, elder abuse, and tax fraud in Nassau County. The new tip line also includes an option for those who speak Spanish.
“Many of the cases that have been prosecuted by this office have come from tips from the public, who have been our eyes and ears for criminal conduct, and an important resource in our fight to bring criminals to justice,” DA Kathleen Rice said. “This new tip line will build on that successful partnership by making it even easier for people to get valuable information on illegal activity quickly to my office’s team of investigators and prosecutors.”
The new tip line allows members of the public to make complaints about crimes occurring in Nassau County by calling (516) 571-7755 and choosing an option on a telephone keypad. The line is staffed by members of the DA’s office during business hours.
Previously, callers had the option of calling criminal bureaus at several different numbers. The tip line unveiled by DA Rice today consolidates all of those numbers into one number.
Callers reporting an emergency should still call 911.
Options available to callers of DA Rice’s tip line are as follows:
