(MANHASSET, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) joined the local business community and her colleagues in government on Friday, May 21 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of AKT Manhasset. Located at 1514 Northern Blvd., the fitness studio features programming that is created every three weeks by founder and celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser. Fitness class offerings are based upon a combination of toning, interval, circuit, and dance-based workouts.
“Gyms and fitness centers have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, and the opening of new businesses in this sector are a particularly encouraging sign for our ongoing regional recovery,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “I was delighted to join community leaders to herald the arrival of AKT’s first Long Island franchise and wish them all the best as the newest member of our community.”
