[ARCHIVED] Curran Announces First Ever Fall Music Festival Music and Food Truck Event Held Oct. 2 at Eisenhower

Nassau County, NY – Nassau County Executive Laura Curran is proud to announce the first ever Fall Music Festival at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre at Eisenhower Park on Saturday, October 2 from 12pm to 7pm.  The free music festival will feature performances from the Grateful Dead tribute Half-Step, country music by Two for the Road and Eagles’ tribute band Desert Highway. The event will also feature more than a dozen food trucks, games and a classic car show.  

“Nassau County has a world class parks system and one of the best times to take advantage of our outdoor spaces is the Fall season. The first ever Fall Music Festival will showcase our crown jewel Eisenhower Park and bring us together to share the best in music and food. Bring the entire family down to celebrate the beginning of fall and a Saturday filled with great live bands, an array of food trucks and fun, “ said County Executive Curran.

Schedule of performances:

Half-Step (Grateful Dead tribute) – 1pm to 2:30pm

Two for the Road (country music) – 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Desert Highway (Eagles tribute) -4:45pm – 6:15pm

Admission is free.  Residents should bring blankets or chairs.  Food and alcohol will be available for purchase from the County’s concession stand and over a dozen food trucks.  Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located at Eisenhower Park, field 6.  For more information call 516-572-0200 and for day of event weather information please call 516-572-0355.
