(LOCUST VALLEY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) joined his colleagues in government and community leaders to celebrate the grand reopening of the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club on Thursday, Sept. 23. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of extensive renovations to the Club’s Locust Valley facility.

“For more than 70 years, the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club has sharpened the minds of our young people by providing them with an outstanding array of programs and educational support,” Legislator Lafazan said. “It was truly a pleasure to be a part of this momentous occasion and to recognize the club for its commitment to our community.”

“On the heels of the pandemic, kids need the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club more than ever before, as we nurture their emotional, mental and physical health, as well as support them academically,” Ramon Reyes, Executive Director said. “Even though we hadn’t finished fundraising for this project, the Board of Directors was committed to ensuring our facility would be ready to support kids as soon as possible. With that said, we invite the community to invest in this project, which builds great futures for all children in our community.”
