(GREAT NECK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum joined Nassau County Executive Laura Curran at the Great Neck Social Center on Monday, Oct. 4, where she joined a Senior Scam Awareness presentation and spoke to seniors about how best to protect themselves and their families. Later, Legislator Birnbaum also visited the members of Sephardic Heritage Alliance, Inc. as they were enjoying bingo.
“Nassau County is committed to protecting our residents and equipping our seniors to stay one step ahead of unscrupulous criminals who target them with these scams,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “I thank County Executive Curran, the Nassau County Police Department, the Nassau County Office for the Aging, Nassau County’s Office of the Crime Victim Advocate and the Family and Children’s Association for bringing these important resources to Great Neck’s senior citizens.”
