(HERRICKS, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) commemorated National School Board Recognition Week by presenting Nassau County Legislature Certificates of Appreciation to the members of the Herricks Board of Education on Thursday, Oct. 21. In addition to Legislator Birnbaum’s presentation, attendees and the Board of Education enjoyed a performance of patriotic songs by fifth graders from the Denton Avenue Elementary School.
