(GREAT NECK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) commemorated National School Board Recognition Week by presenting Nassau County Legislature Certificates of Appreciation to the members of the Great Neck Board of Education on Wednesday, Oct. 20. “It is always a pleasure to recognize the community leaders who step up to serve as advocates for our children,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “I thank Board of Education President Rebecca Sassouni, Vice President Donna Peirez, and Trustees Barbara Berkowitz, Jeffrey Shi and Grant Toch for all they do for our schools this week and every week.”
