The Honorable David W. Wright, a lifelong resident of Bayville, has been a Nassau County District Court Judge since 2021. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from St. John’s University and his J.D. cum laude from Touro Law Center. He began his legal career as a Court Attorney at the Appellate Division, Second Department, in Brooklyn, NY, the second highest court in the State 1992-1995, worked briefly in private practice before returning to the Appellate Division as Principal Law Clerk to Justice Sandra J. Feuerstein, from 1996-2003, then worked as an Associate Court Attorney in Nassau Supreme Court 2004-2016, before returning once again to the Appellate Division, this time as Senior Principal Law Clerk to Justice Angela G. Iannacci 2017-2020. He was Associate Village Justice in Bayville 2001-2012 and a Village Trustee and Deputy Village Mayor 2018-2020. He is also an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College, where he teaches courses in Business Law, Legal Research and Writing, Litigation, Torts, and Business Organizations.
