On Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, Legislator Steve Rhoads joined with Legislator Tom McKevitt, Hempstead Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and Hempstead Councilman Chris Carini to visit the Merrick Street Fair’s Opening Ceremony.
The fair, which was held on Merrick Avenue, and run by the Chamber of Commerce, was filled with community groups and civic organizations. It is one of the most popular events in Merrick and attracts a large number of residents.
“This year’s Merrick Street Fair was one of the best, and I am so happy so many people came out to support the community,” Legislator Steve Rhoads said. “I spoke to many residents at the fair, and heard their concerns, including worries about crime, taxes and the economy.”
