Legislator Siela A. Bynoe Invites Residents to Attend Upcoming Tax Exemption Workshop
WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Siela A. Bynoe (D – Westbury) is partnering with the Nassau County Department of Assessment to host a property tax exemption workshop for residents in the Second Legislative District.
During the workshop, Department of Assessment staff will assist residents with filing for veteran, senior citizen, Cold War veteran, volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker, limited-income disability and/or home improvement exemptions. Enhanced STAR applications will also be processed for homeowners already enrolled in the STAR program prior to Jan. 2, 2015.
Attendees are asked to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. Homeowners can visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/assessment for additional dates and locations.
