In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Nassau County Legislature held their 20th Annual “Women of Distinction” Ceremony.
Laura Maier was recognized as Legislator Kennedy’s honoree this year for her accomplishments and contributions to the community. As a successful entrepreneur with numerous franchises on Long Island, Laura has sponsored many fundraisers throughout the years for schools, sports teams and local charitable organizations. Each summer Laura partners with the Children’s Miracle Network Foundation to raise funds for the Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
“It was a pleasure to present this award to Laura for her achievements and for the positive impact she has had in Nassau County” stated Legislator Kennedy.
