[ARCHIVED] PRESIDING OFFICER NICOLELLO HONORS NEW TROOP 200 EAGLE SCOUTS

NEW TROOP 200 EAGLE SCOUTS

Nicolas Gorbea and Robert Dodson of Boy Scout Troop 200 were recently recognized by Presiding Officer Richard J. Nicolello at an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony in honor of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Nicolas and Robert’s achievements are the culmination of years of commitment, effort and preparation.

Nicolas’ Eagle Scout project involved the creation of a beautiful seating area by the lower pond in Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson. The new seating area consists of two newly constructed park benches, five large planters with a variety of plants, a long Bluestone walking path along the pond, and a retaining wall to help prevent erosion.

Robert’s Eagle Scout project improved several portions of the Christopher Morley Park community campsite. Robert recreated a new and safe fire ring surrounded by hand-made log seating. He also installed two new picnic tables at the campsite.
