(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) was sworn in for a new two-year term during inaugural ceremonies held on Friday, Jan. 5. It is her fourth term as a Nassau County Legislator - and her first representing the newly apportioned Sixth Legislative District, which encompasses the communities of Baldwin, Roosevelt and South Hempstead and portions of Freeport and Oceanside.

With her family, friends and supporters looking on, Legislator Mulé and her Minority Caucus colleagues were sworn in by former Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams. Legislator Mulé also had the privilege of concluding the ceremony by leading the audience in singing “God Bless America.”

“Taking the oath of office for my fourth term as a Nassau County Legislator was a truly humbling experience, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve for the next two years,” Legislator Mulé said. “I am ready to work with Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton, my legislative colleagues, and the residents of the Sixth District to meet the needs of our communities and build a path to a brighter and more prosperous future for every Nassau resident.”
