Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford recently coordinated a collection drive at the King Kullen in Island Park for The Safe Center of LI. The Safe Center is the only organization in Nassau County to provide free, confidential and comprehensive services to adult and child victims of family violence and sexual assault. Their services include counseling, advocacy, legal services, safe housing, an educational department focused on prevention and a 24/7 hotline.
“The response was truly over whelming” said Mrs. Ford, “I want to thank everyone who donated to this very worthy organization and a special thank you to King Kullen Manager Bob Woodruff for hosting this event”!
