[ARCHIVED] Join Legislator Kennedy and Legislator Walker for “Clean-up Massapequa Preserve Day”

Nassau County Legislators James Kennedy and Rose Marie Walker are sponsoring a neighborhood clean-up at the Peter J. Schmitt Massapequa Preserve on Saturday May 30th.

All neighbors are invited to join the clean-up!

WHEN: Saturday, May 30 from 9:00am to 11:00amWHERE: Peter J. Schmitt Massapequa Preserve
Meeting location: corner of Parkside Blvd and Pittsburgh Ave.

“Our environment is precious, and we are fortunate to have the largest natural preserve in Nassau County right here in Massapequa,” said Legislator Kennedy. “Please stop by the Schmitt Preserve on May 30th and lend a hand!”

Clean-up tools, such as picks and bags, will be provided for volunteers.

“As Chair of the Nassau County Legislature’s Health Committee, I am dedicated to improving the health and safety of all county residents,” said Legislator Walker. “Discarded trash can be a breeding ground for germs and poses a safety hazard for those who want to enjoy our parks.”
