The Nassau County Rife and Pistol Range is the only such facility open to the public in the county. There are six ranges and 30 individual shooting points available, and targets can be set from 5 yards to 30 yards. Hunting safety classes are also offered. No membership fee is required, but an admission fee is charged (ranging from $3.50 to $15). The range is located at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex in the "Hub" area, just west of the Nassau Coliseum.

The Range received an extensive renovation over the summer of 2005 that included lead removal from the ranges and the addition of a new roof and additional parking.

Please note that the Nassau County Rifle and Pistol Range does not rent guns.
