Golf  The Eisenhower Park golf facility features three outstanding 18-hole courses, including the championship Red course, but golfers also have the option to play one of the County's four nine-hole courses, which are perfect for beginners or those looking for a faster day on the course. The County also offers three driving ranges. For youngsters, there are mini-golf courses at Eisenhower and Cantiague parks. Don't forget: you can make 18-hole reservations online (see icon to the left), provided you have a Leisure Pass.

Pools  Four of the County's outdoor pools open for the summer season on June 29, including the three water-theme facilities at Cantiague Park, North Woodmere Park and Wantagh Park.

Independence Day!  On July 4th, Old Bethpage Village Restoration will celebrate a rousing Fourth of July as it would have been commemorated in 1865 at the end of the Civil War. There will be patriotic speeches, musket firing, children’s games and "base ball." On July 5, the Old Bethpage Village Brass Sextet will re-create the stirring sights and sounds of a 19th-century brass band.

Concerts  During summer, Lakeside Theatre at Eisenhower Park becomes a center for entertainment, with concerts and movies. This week, the schedule includes Russian American Night on June 29; North Shore Pops on July 3; and Greek American Night on July 5.

The Circus  The Big Apple circus wraps up its month-long run at Eisenhower Park this week with shows Tuesday - Sunday.Call 888-541-3750 or visit BigAppleCircus.org.
